Soya Beans

Soybeans (Glycine max) are legumes that are part of the pea, clover, and alfalfa family. They are dicots, meaning they have two cotyledons, and can grow to be over 6.5 feet tall. Soybean plants have white or purple flowers that self-fertilize, and each pod can contain one to four seeds that are pea-sized and can be yellow, green, brown, black, or bicolored. Soybeans are hardy plants that can adapt to many soil conditions and require warmer weather to mature, taking about 3 to 5 months.
